Brighton & Hove Stormwater

Project Construction Management

Project Description

Many LBA staff worked for Taylor Woodrow during the construction of the Brighton & Hove Stormwater Tunnel (5 km) and Shafts between 1993 and 1997, excavations being through Chalk. This single bore tunnel with shafts was constructed for Southern Water as an interceptor sewer with storage capacity along the seafront of Brighton and Hove from Black Rock westwards. At the time it was the largest storage tunnel in Europe.
